The Architecture and Construction Visualization (ACV) program was introduced in Fall 2006 as part of the school's expansion of the graduate program.
The Architecture and Construction Visualization (ACV) program takes into consideration the visualizations needs of the architecture and construction industry and prepares students in utilizing advanced interactive media, 3D modeling, digital imaging and virtual reality/virtual environment applications in assisting daily design and construction activities and undertakings.
Students will be exposed to the state-of-art applications and technologies in interactive media, 2D and 3D visualization. The curriculum is designed for students to learn and apply their artistic and technical skills towards the creation of effective methods of communication and presentation in support of design and construction activities. Students will learn and have hands-on experience in 3D Modeling, Animation, Interactive Media, Advanced CADD, Building Information Modeling (BIM), Virtual Reality/Virtual Environment, and Information Technology. The knowledge students will acquire from this program can be applied for the Architecture, Engineering, Construction (AEC) industry specifically, and also other industries in general.
The Master of Science in Engineering Technology – Architecture and Construction Visualization (ACV) degree offers 3 tracks that a student may pursue.
The available tracks are:
(1) thesis [30 credit hours]
(2) project [33 credit hours]
(3) coursework [36 credit hours]
